Marshall & Ilsley Corporation received the 2006 Torch Award for Business Ethics & Integrity from the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau®. The award was given based on M&I's excellence in ethical practices, service excellence, reputation, honest advertising, peer recognition, management practices, and employee training in ethical behavior.
Adoption is Good Business Award
Marshall & Ilsley Corporation received the Adoption is Good Business Award from Adoption Resources of Wisconsin for its support of adoptive families.
2006 Pro Patria Award
M&I Bank received the Pro Patria Award, the highest state recognition for companies supporting employees in the National Guard and Reserve. M&I was nominated by Nancy Olson, wife of the late Todd Olson, an M&I vice president who worked in Business Banking and agricultural lending at offices in Loyal and Neillsville, Wisconsin. Olson was killed in action in Iraq in 2004. M&I provided financial and personal assistance to the Olson family.
UPAF - Robert W. Baird Outstanding Achievement Award in Employee Giving
Marshall & Ilsley Corporation received the United Performing Arts Fund's Robert W. Baird Outstanding Achievement Award in Employee Giving based on executive involvement, employee participation, and new donor cultivation.

M&I Community Development Corporation (CDC) received the Vision Award, one of several MANDI (Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation) awards presented by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation to acknowledge and promote the accomplishments of the community development industry in Milwaukee. The CDC received the award in recognition of its strong commitment and leadership in transforming our community.
Milwaukee Riverwalk District Gertie Award
Marshall & Ilsley Corporation received a Gertie award in honor of its support of the Milwaukee Riverwalk District, a nonprofit organization working to enhance the downtown area along the Milwaukee River and to sponsor events in the district.

2001 Wisconsin Organizational Philanthropy Award
Awarded to Marshall & Ilsley Corporation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Milwaukee Chapter. The award is given to a corporation, foundation, or organization with an outstanding record of philanthropic leadership, including a prominent leadership role in promoting philanthropy in the greater Milwaukee area, encouragement of leadership and participation in volunteer and/or philanthropic activities, innovation in developing philanthropic programs, and generosity in giving and/or raising of philanthropic funds.
