M&I Community Day
On September 18, 2004, thousands of employees throughout the M&I network volunteered their time to perform community service projects that benefited 101 organizations in 158 communities as part of M&I Community Day. This nationwide mobilization of M&I employees has become an annual M&I tradition, with employees participating in volunteer projects that have been chosen based on the specific needs of the community.
M&I Community Day projects have included construction of a Habitat for Humanity home in Phoenix, Arizona, a school supply drive in Lomira, Wisconsin, a baby item drive in St. Louis, Missouri, and a flu shot clinic in Cambridge, Wisconsin.
In Milwaukee, a community-wide diaper drive resulted in donations of over 180,000 diapers to benefit thousands of infants and toddlers in the four-county area.
Individually, our employees volunteer thousands of hours every year, dedicating their time and resources to the cuases closest to their hearts. M&I Community Day, however, gives our employees the opportunity to work, side by side, with their fellow employees, to make a profound impact on the lives of others. We thank and applaud them for their efforts.
